WASHINGTON, D.C. — Sept. 16, 2026 — Greystones Group, a woman-owned small business delivering innovative digital solutions to the United States military and civilian federal government, today announced that its technical paper has been accepted for presentation at the American Society of Naval Engineers (ASNE) Fleet Maintenance & Modernization Symposium (FMMS) 2026.
The paper describes a reference architecture for applying AI to maintenance processes, schedules, and technical data supporting distributed and unmanned maritime assets, including unmanned vessels (UVs). The paper is presented in general terms and does not describe any fielded system, program of record, or customer environment. It reflects Greystones’ ongoing independent research investment in data-driven sustainment and readiness, an area in which the company applies proven AI and machine learning technologies to reduce operator cognitive load and enable better, faster decisions.

FMMS 2026 will take place September 22–24, 2026, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia, under the theme “From Foundry to Fleet: Delivering Readiness & Capability.” The symposium brings together the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Marine Corps, Military Sealift Command, industry, academia, and the broader naval ship maintenance and modernization community for an open exchange of technical information on ship maintenance and modernization. The FMMS agenda features senior military keynotes, industry speakers, panels, an Innovation Theater, and technical paper presentations.
The FMMS selection adds to a period of growing momentum for Greystones in naval maintenance and modernization.
