The Doolittle Institute’s Innovation Discovery Events are designed to accelerate the transition of emerging technologies from research to real-world application. These events bring together federal researchers with experts from industry, academia, government, small businesses, and the entrepreneurial community to evaluate innovative concepts and identify opportunities for technology commercialization and operational use.
As a panelist, John will collaborate with fellow experts to evaluate promising technologies and engage directly with the innovators developing them. His responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and assessing innovative concepts and proposals
- Providing feedback through discussions with researchers and technology developers
- Identifying practical applications, commercialization opportunities, and pathways for successful technology transition
