Authorized by Division O of Public Law 115-31, the Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act of 2017 (HIRE Vets Act), the HIRE Vets Medallion Program is the only veteran employment award conferred at the federal level, underscoring the significance of this achievement.
