At Greystones Labs, we’re not just exploring what’s possible with AI, we’re engineering what’s operationally viable for the mission edge. Our current focus areas include:

What We’re Working On
Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) AI Systems
We’re building mission-capable AI that keeps humans in control. Through recent efforts including our US Navy deployments, we’re developing agentic AI systems that collaborate with humans, not replace them. This means that AI knows when to pause, clarify, and request human confirmation before acting, a critical safeguard for mission-critical workflows. HITL is not a safety net, it’s a design principle.
Secure Agentic Workflows
We’re engineering AI systems that go beyond prompting and are capable of reasoning over structured workflows, integrating with secure data, and automating repeatable tasks while preserving auditability. These systems are being actively prototyped for Zero Trust environments, Navy fleet maintenance, and hybrid cyber operations.
Explainability and Observability
We don’t treat “black box” results as good enough. Our platforms prioritize transparency by providing lineage tracking, decision tracebacks, and operational observability tools that clarify why an AI made a recommendation and what conditions triggered it.
Tactical RAG and Decision Support
We’re evolving Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines for real-world decision environments, like supply chain readiness, digital twin sustainment, and cyber risk triage, where speed, precision, and trust matter. These are not generic LLM demos, they are field-oriented, vetted, and driven by real use cases.
